
Barr. Sholape Demola-Seriki, widow of late Ambassador Ademola Rasaq Attanda Seriki, have penned wonderful tributes to him to mark one year anniversary of his death.
She said her late husband served the country meritoriously.
Late Seriki served as Minister of State Defence, Minister of Interior, Minister of Agriculture & Water Resources, Minister of Mines & Steel Developement,
Nigerian Ambassador to the Kingdom of Spain, Charman of Lagos Sports Commission, Charman of Corporate Affairs Commission, Chairman of Nigerian Maritime Academy
Former Chairman of PRIMERO TSL (Transport Service Limited) amongst others.
In the tribute, Barr. Demola-Seriki said her husband was a kind man that had the midas touch to turn things around.
She said he was a wonderful husband, a good father and a man whose life touched and uplifted many.
According to her, “The Ottun Aare of Lagos, we spent 14 years together as a couple and it was like millions of years. I and your children miss you.
“You were a servant of this country. You served in several capacity and you demonstrated your love for this country.
“Allah knows why he called you at a time he did. We cry everyday that passed without you these passed 365 days.”
His son, Ademola Rasaq Attanda Seriki (Jnr), recalled how they used to play football, tennis and golf together.
He said his father ensured they attendi jummah prayer together every friday.
His daughter, Amani Aderinsola Adunola Demola- Seriki, said her father supported her social life.
“It’s been officially one year now since my best friend, my blood, my other half, my companion, my biggest supporter and MY FATHER passed away. I will forever miss you. I know how supportive u were of my dancing, my education and my social life. You were the best overall parent I could ever ask for and I will always miss you and pray for you.”
