
Ondo Police recovers 69 bags of Indian Hemp in Ondo
Operatives of the Ondo State Police Command has recovered 69 bags of substance suspected to be Indian hemp.
The suspected bags were recovered along Ijore Road, Akure, the Ondo State capital.
One Sunday Akinfisoye, who was arrested alongside the 69 bags of denied being the owner of the items.
Akinfisoye said he was arrested for being at the spot where security operatives raided.
A four-man gang who killed their colleague, Shahabi Jadi, over N200,000 being proceed from stolen items, was paraded.
Police said Jadi was matcheted to death along Ehinowo camp via Ondo town and that one Blessing Okon was arrested in connection to killing.
Other suspects arrested were Gabriel Japhet, Osha Phenus, and Gbenga Timothy.
Blessing confessed they killed Jadi because he did not pay for the stolen items.
He said late Jadi was a member of their gang who also doubles as buyer of the stolen goods but other suspects denied being members of the gang.

Okon further stated that deceased cheated them and refused to give them their share of the proceed of their loots which led to their killing him.
A young man, Olulayo Moyoloye, of kidimo camp, in Irele, who attempted to behead his brother, Daniel, however chopped off his left arm.
Olulayo who was arrested after a few days claimed his brother accused him of stealing his palm fruit and this led to a heated argument between them.
He said he fled after using cutlass on his brother.
Ondo Police Commissioner, Asabi Abiodun, said the suspects would soon be charged to court.
