Okpebholo restores Oahimire as Head of EPHDA
Government sources have revealed why Dr. Coulsdon Oahimire was restored as Executive Secretary of Edo Primary Health Development Agency.
Governor Monday Okpebholo had suspended Dr. Oahimire after a staff of the agency petitioned him alleging misappropriation of fund.
It was gathered that the petitioner accused Dr. Oahimire of misappropriating money met for UNICEF and other partners immunization programme as well as training for life support programme.
The petitioner claimed that money was collected from the Basic Health Support fund to finance the training of medical doctors, nurses and community Health Extension workers.
A committee set up by Obaseki to investigate the allegations absolved Oahimire of any wrong doing.
The source said, “Investigation was carried out into the allegations and a panel was set up. The suspended Executive Secretary was exonerated by the panel.”
Dr. Oahimire, in his reaction, said he owed no grudge against the petitioner.
He said he has resolved to work with the petitioner in accordance with the law even as he thanked everybody who played major role towards the investigation and reinstatement as the Executive Secretary of Primary Health Development Agency.
