Three woman who recently moved into a new apartment have stolen four children from the neihbourhood.
The incident happened last weekend at Umuokwe quarters, Ogwashi-Uku, Aniocha South Local Government Area of Delta State.
Itnwas gathered that the suspects rented an apartment in the area few days ago.
They were alleged to have befriended the children and further lured them away from home on the pretence of buying biscuits for them.
According to a spurce, “It was when the children could not be seen around the compound that neighbours expressed concern.
“By the time the neighbours visited the ladies’ apartment, the room was empty as neither the occupants nor the children could be found.”
Spokesman for Delta State Police Command, SP Bright Edafe, who confirmed the incident, said the owner of the house the suspects rented has been arrested.
He said, “The children were abducted three days after the women rented the apartment.
“It is true; the problem is that there is no link. They just came and said they wanted to rent an apartment and the landlady gave it to them with no details, no name, no phone number, no agreement and after three days they carried four children.
“The landlady has been arrested because her actions are suspicious.”
