The increase in enrolment was due to plans by President Bola Tinubu to provide incentives for students who got enrolled into Technical colleges across the country.
Among the incentives were free tuition, accommodation, feeding and payment of monthly stipends to students.
Checks showed that Zamfara registered the lowest students for TVET with 25 candidates while Lagos State has the highest with 2887 candidates.
