May Day: Adefarati assures Nigeria Workers of better legislative interventions
Chairman, House Committee on Labour, Employment and Productivity, Asiwaju Adegboyega Adefarati, has assured Nigerian workers that the 10th House of Representatives remained committed to initiating laws as well as engaged in legislative interventions that would promote their welfare and well-being.
Hon Adefarati who represents Akoko Southwest/Akoko Southeast, in his May Day message said workers were the pillars and driving force of the nation building in view of their invaluable contributions to national development.
Adefarati urged the workers especially civil servants, to rededicate themselves to duty and support the government’s laudable policies and programmes.
According to him, “While commending you for your commitment to the service and building of the nation, I wish to assure you that the 10th House of Representatives is committed to initiating other laws and legislative interventions that would promote the welfare and well-being of Nigerian workers apart from passing national minimum wage law.
“As you mark this historic day, I urge you to commit yourselves to doing more in supporting the reforms and policies of the Renewed Hope Agenda that will reposition Nigeria for economic growth and development.
