Igbinedion resigns from PDP
A former member of the House of Representatives, Barr. Omosede Igbinedion, has resigned from the Peoples Democratic Party.
Barr. Igbinedion who was also a governorship aspirant of the PDP, tendered her resignation to the Okada West Ward 1 party’s Chairman, Mr. Lucky Edosomwan.
In the letter, Igbinedion said the principles of equity, fairness and justice no longer exist within the Party.
Igbinedion said aboriginal PDP members who worked hard to sustain the party were marginalised
She added that she no longer have the drive, conviction, sentiments and commitment towards the party she Ince called home.
According to the letter, “There is no indigenous PDP member on the Edo gubernatorial ballot, either as governorship candidate or as running, which brings to question, who are we working for?”
Speaking further, Omosede said she realised there were some very salient fundamental issues, that could not be resolved regarding the PDP in Edo State.
“It was on this note, I deemed it fit to tender my resignation from the only Party I have ever belonged to.
“I am grateful to all those who have stood by me politically since and do not take this for granted.
“I look forward to better days ahead and wish you all the very best.”
