Ex-Ondo Deputy Governor rallies support for Aiyedatiwa
A former Deputy Governor of Ondo State, Alhaji Lasisi Oluboyo, has called on all members of the All Progressives Congress in the state to accept the leadership of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa.
Alhaji Oluboyo urged Ondo APC members to emulate actions of the Delta State APC after the defection of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori and other leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party.
The former Deputy Governor said serving Ministers and all leaders of the APC in Delta State submitted their leadership to Governor Oborevwori as the new leader of the party.
Alhaji Oluboyo, who spoke in a statement issued in Akure, said submission to the leadership of Aiyedatiwa woukd ensure peace and tranquility in the Ondo APC.
Oluboyo stated that no political party survived when there is chaos and misunderstanding.
He said the mass defection to the APC across the country was a confirmation of the acceptance of the reforms by President Bola Tinubu.
According to him, “I am happy with what happened in Delta State especially the manner leaders of the APC submitted to the leadership of Governor Oborevwori who defected from the PDP.
“That is to ensure peace and tranquility. I want to appeal to APC members in Ondo State to emulate what happened in Delta State. Let all of us submit to the leadership of Governor Aiyedatiwa.
“Our desire is to continue to be in power in Ondo State. We can achieve that through unity and respect for constituted authority.”
