Edo ex-Attorney General challenges APC to N5m bet over court’s ruling on Edo PDP primary
Did Justice Injang Ekwo of the Federal High Court, Abuja, invalidated the primary of the Peoples Democratic Party that produced Ause Ighodalo as the party’s candidate for the September governorship election?
Counsel to parties in the suit have interpreted Justice Ekwo’s ruling according to their perceptions.
Leaders of the opposition political parties especially the All Progressives Congress have taken to celebrate the court judgment with a sland ‘Ofonee’ (It has ended) while PDP leaders have dismissed the celebration by APC leaders insisting that Justice Ekwo never invalidated the party’s primary.
A Certified True Copy of Justice Ekwo’s ruling will put an end to the apprehensions and celebrations.
Meanwhile, a former Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice in Edo State, Oluwole Iyamu, has challenged PDP leaders ‘to point at one paragraph or Order of Court which set aside the PDP primary or in any way even talked about the candidacy of Dr. Asue Ighodalo in this election.’
“I challenge any of the fellows mouthing “Ofone” to a bet of #5 million Naira if they are able to point at one paragraph or Order of Court which set aside the PDP PRIMARY or in any way even talked about the Candidacy of Dr. Asue Ighodalo in this election.
“This mischief is getting quite irritating and the purveyors should put their money where their mouths are.
I await anyone with the balls.”
