At 60, no child to celebrate me, veteran Nollywood actress
Veteran Nollywood actress, Dupe Jayesimi, has opened up on her regrets not having a child as she clocked 60.
Jayesimi said her sister’s children she decided to train do not regard her as a mother.
She said her mother refused her to adopt a child.
Speaking in a podcast interview, Jayesimi revealed how her former husband remarried two weeks after they got separated.
She said she had a miscarriage shortly after her marriage.
Jayesimi stated that she prayed all night not suffer in her old age because her last job was seven years ago.
She said she attempted having a child through IVF but it failed.
According to her, “I had no child to celebrate my 60th birthday. Whenever I go to events, I dance a lot, not because I am impressed by the party, but because I was using it to hide my pain.
“When I saw I was pregnant, I was happy but doctors later said the baby was at the back of my womb. I was 40 when it happened.”
