Ondo 2024: Omole, Olabimtan, Alabi begin grassroot mobilisation for Aiyedatiwa
Leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Akoko South West Local Government Area have begun move to ensure the party recorded victory in the November 16th governorship election.
The leaders urged members in the locality to hold regular Ward meetings with a view to mobilise grassroot support for Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa.
At an enlarged meeting of the party in Oka Akoko, headquarters of Akoko Southwest local government, the APC leaders said they want to ensure Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa and his running mate, Dr Olayide Adelami, recorded massive victory in the area.
The leaders promised to be united ahead of the polls even as hey urged members in the locality to embrace the spirit of teamwork for the purpose of mobilising voters to polling units.
Chairman of the Ondo State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) Hon. Victor Olabintan, urged APC members to embrace teamwork.
He said all aspirants that contested against Aiyedatiwa have collapsed their structure to support Aiyedatiwa.
Special Adviser to Ondo State Governor on Transportation, Akogun Olugbenga Omole, urged members to sustain their support for Governor Aiyedatiwa with a view to record massive votes in the locality.
He said, “This is a local government meeting. We have 15 Wards in Akoko Southwest and it is the largest administratively. We are here to tell our people the reason they should continue to support Aiyedatiwa. Ondo State is peaceful.
“We will be having regular Ward meetings ahead of the election. We are going to have massive support to Aiyedatiwa.
“This is the bedrock of the APC in Ondo State. Leaders from other camps are here. The party is going to have massive support in this local government.
Special Adviser to the Governor on Energy, Engr. Johnson Alabi, tasked all ward chairmen to mobilize their wards for the party’s success at the polls.
A former member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Ade Adeogun, assured that the local government has a solid structure to deliver for Aiyedatiwa’s success.
APC Party Chairman, Àkókó South Weat, Chief Olashehinde Mise, urged party members to remain united.
Other stakeholders present at the meeting included a former Secretary to the Ondo State government, Chief Abdulkadir Olajide Ajana, Commissioner for Regional Integration and Diaspora Affairs; Prince Boye Ologbese, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Social Involvement, Barr. Felix Alonge, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Security, Gbenga Atiba, Chairman of the APC Akoko South West Elder Council, Elder Lawrence Rogbitan, Chairman of the Ondo State House of Assembly Service Commission, Hon. Dare Emiola amongst others.
